Today the Code of Conduct has been amended. As per Management Team decision, the following text has been added to paragraph 2.7:

"There may be a maximum of four (4) links in your signature. The text in your signature may not contain more than four (4) colours."

These changes are effective immediately. If your signature does not comply with the amendment, please edit your signature accordingly as soon as possible.

It was recently discovered by a local Turkish member serhat5858 and Soulsmasher that many of his themes were being released by another member as their original work. Upon investigation, the copied theme code was almost exactly the same, in some instances identical, except that the original acknowledgements and copyright information was missing.

This will not stand! There is zero tolerance for this kind of violation. As a result of this discovery, the member concerned was sent a warning, the reply to which was extremely dismissive. He has now been permanently banned from all PHP-Fusion sites, including the NSS sites, and his submissions have been removed. Not to mention his name in the Open Source community as a whole is now worthless.

To do this to a person who freely gives so much help and support to anyone who asks is beneath contempt. So, to anyone who's thinking of trying to do the same to make themselves seem a better coder than they actually are, be warned! You will eventually get caught and exposed! It is theft, nothing less. We've been quite courteous and polite in matters like this for a number of years, but we hereby inform you that if you get caught in behaving in such a way, we will take swift actions as soon as we spot it from this day and after.

Please note, that AGPL does cover Themes, Infusions etc as well as the whole of PHP-Fusion, if you as a 3rd party developer breaks the license, you have forfeited the whole license as such.

The only requirement the Open Source community asks of anyone wanting to use their code is that you leave any copyright info intact, that's it! Without this one hard and fast rule, the quality of the code gets diluted and lost leaving talented people with no incentive to continue.

We understand the overwhelming majority of members would never do this and many thanks to those who have reported such people to us over the years.

The theme submission is finally working again thanks to Christian (PMM).
So please submit your themes and i'll be happy to approve them, before you submit your theme make sure you have read our guidelines.

There is some great thing going on right now v7.01 will be here soon and our three sites will merge together.

Lately there has been a lot of great themes submitted by both new and old theme-creators. I'm very pleased with the work that's been done, and the themes shows a multitude of styles and variations. This is what this site is all about. As we speak there is a total of 347 themes in the database, 196 v7.x compatible themes and 151 v6.x compatible themes.

We all need to consider a few things when we submit our work to the themes database. This so that everybody who uses the themes have a pleasant and painless experience. Therefore I have written a little more detailed Theme-submissions guide that you'll find HERE.
The one that submit themes and the one that review them will also benefit from this. The time it takes for your theme to be accepted - and the time we spend reviewing each theme - will be shorter. So I urge both new and old "themers" to take a look at this document.

If you're experiencing trouble submitting a new theme, please pay attention to the messages you get. Most likely you have missed one or more element mentioned in the Submissions guidelines.

There was quite a few people that was up for joining the Design Team. I'm very grateful for that, it proved what I already knew: this community has a lot of resourceful and dedicated designers. So I basically had to pick and choose.
The choices were made by the criteria set by the MT, and the things I knew each member had done in the PHP-Fusion community.

The PHP-Fusion Management Team (MT) has decided that we should recreate a Design Team. Therefore we are looking for people that are familiar with PHP-Fusion and its design. We need people that are skilled when it comes to design, graphics, themes, PHP or marketing. If you have skills within some of these areas, and want to participate in forming the future of PHP-Fusion and its theme-engine, please read on.
